The origins of this company date back to 1977 after Phillip Bonham received his J.D. degree from California Western School of Law located in San Diego, CA. and he redeveloped his first commercial property.

In 1982 he became a commercial real estate broker with Marcus & Millichap in San Diego and through their training and tenure with them developed and honed his commercial real estate skills and increased his knowledge and understanding of clients and their needs relating to commercial real estate.

Since that time he has been involved with the management and rehabilitation of drug and crime related properties, and through a not-for-profit corporation he formed has provided seminars to the general public, the San Diego Apartment Association, and various groups throughout San Diego County.  He was featured in articles in the San Diego Union, Channel 8 TV, and on KSDO radio.  He also wrote articles for the Apartment Association's monthly magazine.

The primary goal was to provide clean, safe housing for families, in particular children.  He believed that given the choice most families would prefer to live in safe housing where the children could go outside and play in the playgrounds we provided.  Based on occupancy and virtually no crime on the property he met those goals.

He has been involved with owning and/or managing over 2,000 multifamily residential units and was the recipient of the San Diego Housing Commission's Shelter Award for contributions to the rental housing industry in San Diego.

In the past he has been retained by lending institutions to work out problem properties; provided brokerage services to individuals, corporations, and banks and has represented and negotiated residential and commercial projects with individuals, corporations, partnerships, banks, trustees, local and national entities.

Having owned and managed commercial retail property and multifamily housing as well as being an active commercial broker he has a broad base of knowledge in the commercial area.
